The Get A Clue Literature Series combines the WATS™ System for vocabulary development with activities designed to improve reading comprehension skills. Each edition of the Literature Series focuses on a single literary text. Excerpting key passages central to the plot, theme, characterization, and conflict of the text, Literature Series editions contain exercises including:

• Vocabulary words from the text;
• Reading comprehension questions that focus on characterization, conflict, and figurative language;
• Analysis questions requiring written responses;
• Dramatic audio readings

The skill level for each edition corresponds with the reading level of the text itself. In addition, each program is versatile enough to use for either pre-reading preparation or as a concurrent supplement to class activities and discussions as students read the text.

A note to teachers: While each title in the Literature Series increases student interest and understanding, each edition is designed to be supplemental, rather than to replace a complete reading of the text.
